One month after surgery.
Porter now weighs 19 lb 4 oz!
It's hard to tell in the pictures but right before surgery Porter was looking VERY frail! :( He had sunken in eyes with dark rings... His ribs all showed & his shoulder blades stuck out pretty far. In just 1 1/2 lb Porter has fuller cheeks, more energy, his hair & finger nails are growing better! His overall state of being has improved 100%! We are so proud of him & are so happy for him!
NOTICE his feeding tube in the picture above.... We are so blessed that technology has come to such an amazing point that with clothes on, no one knows that Porter is different then any other kid! He is still a little freaked out of his tube... he doesn't like to be naked. It breaks my heart to watch him look at it & cry! However the positive impact it has had on his life is definitely worth the few trials that come along with it!

Hooray, I am so happy that Porter is doing so well. He sure is cute too :) Hope things are going well with your baby bump.
go porter!!! Go boe and marye too! its a lot of work, but I don't know of any better parents then you two to love on that baby of yours! You guys are the best! So happy porter is gaining weight! bring on the chub!!!

I am Jeff Jorgensen's cousin. Christina gave me your blog and I'm totally crying reading it! My twins (boy and girl) were born at 30 weeks and both babes have G Tubes. Our little girl, Jaylynn, spent 101 days in the NICU (eating is what kept her there so long) and our sweet little fighter, Craig, was just discharged a month ago spending 218 days in three different NICU's. He has pulmonary hypertension, chronic lung disease, an oral aversion, severe reflux and many other health issues. Reading your blog gives me so much strength to keep pressing forward through our trails Heavenly Father gave us. I love my babies more than anything and am so grateful they are mine. Taking care of sick children is extremely hard and also very rewarding at the same time.
