deep breaths

We have been a bit frustrated the last few days because Porter has had a difficult time keeping his oxygen saturation up. They have been running a crazy amount of tests trying to see if there is an infection somewhere in his body. So far all the tests have come up negative. However, last night after the doctors reviewed his chest x-ray they decided to intibate him. They could tell his lungs were started to collapse & that was probably causing him to struggle breathing. I decided to stay in the room & watch (if your child ever has to be intebated, leave the room! It looks terrible!). When it was all over Porter started to do a lot better. His little body is just exhausted. He was on the CPAP for almost 2 weeks. That in itself is totally amazing for a little one his size!

Thank you everyone for your prayers for our family! We really feel that they have given us all strength, especially Porter! So Pray for no infections & after his lungs get good and rested hopefully he will be able to go back onto the CPAP breathing machine.

Many prayers that all he needs is some time to relax his lungs a little bit and help them get stronger.

Thanks for keeping us posted. Please know you're always in our thoughts.
